The Huanui College Health Careers Night was an evening for people working in the health field to share their experiences. Students from schools across Northland got the chance to talk to health professionals working in the local community, with one-on-one discussions to ask their burning questions.
Thanks to Rachel Moore, an orthodontist, Amanda Johnston, a Dentist, Ben Lockie, the Service Manager at Whangarei Hospital, Melissa Ewins, an Emergency Department Nurse, Bineeth Sasidharan, a Clinical Nurse Educator, Paula Devanney a Paramedic, Serena-Mei Wihongi a Radiographer, Pip Stuart an Emergency Doctor, and Lisa Messenger, a Sonographer.
All the amazing guest speakers gave up time out of their busy schedules to come speak to students, opening up personal experiences of career pathways in health to kids around Northland.
