Transport
Huanui College provides five buses to et our students to and from school. The details of how to catch these buses, pricing and routes are below.
Service Details:
- Cost: $8 per trip.
- Students are issued new IDs with QR codes. They will scan these as they enter the bus.
- Students must have their student ID to catch the bus.
- No ID no ride.
- Flexible Bus Options: Students can catch whichever bus they need. The cost remains the same for all routes.
- Billing: We will invoice parents fortnightly based on usage.
- Remaining Concession Cards: Students can use up their current concession tickets until they are finished.
Runs:
Starting Monday, 29th, the runs will change to the below.
Note: these runs will be the same for the afternoon service – just in the opposite direction.
Waipu Run
Providing a 45 Seater bus
- *7:20am | Intersection of SH1 and Glenmohr Road, Waipu.
- 7:30am | Waipu Monument, Waipu.
- 7:40am | Parking area north side of GAS Bream Bay, SH1.
- 7:55am | South Side parking bay of Oakleigh Service Sation, SH1. Travels via: SH1, Rewa Road, Kioreroa Road, Dave Culham Drive to Riverside Drive.
- 8:15am | Riverside Drive Bus Stop opposite Tanekaha Drive.
- 8:15am | Riverside Drive Bus Stop opposite Distinction Hotel. Travels Via: Hatea Drive, Mill Road, Kiripaka Road & Ngunguru Road.
- 8:35am | Arrive Huanui College.

Ngunguru / Tutukaka Run
Providing a 18 Seater bus
- 7:20am | Sandy Bay (beach car park) 1313 Matapouri Road.
- 7:30am | Matapouri Store, 952 Matapouri.
- 7:40am | Tutukaka Store, 270 Matapouri.
- 7:50am | Dolphin Place, Tutukaka Block Road.
- 8:05am | Ngunguru Shops.
- 8:10am | Ngunguru Library.
- 8:30am | Huanui College.
Parua Bay Run
Providing a 45 Seater bus
- *7:45am | Parua Bay Primary School.
- 7:48am | Corner of Whangārei Heads Road and Parua Cemetery Road (opposite Owhiwa Rd).
- 7:50am | Parua Bay Boat Ramp.
- 7:55am | Corner of Scott Road and Whangārei Heads Road .
- 8:00am | Onerahi Road – Bus Stop by New World Supermarket.
- 8:05am | Onerahi Road – Bus Stop past Sherwood Road.
- 8:07am | Onerahi Road – Bus Stop opposite Sorrento Street.
- 8:10am | Mackesy Road – near Bus Stop. (Travel via Konini Street, Old Parua Bay Road, Abbey Caves Road, Whareora Road, Harris Road and Ngunguru Road).
- 8:35am | Arrive Huanui College.

Maungatapere Run
Providing a 53 Seater bus
- 7:47am | SH14 Opposite Gas station.
- 7:50am | SH 14 Kara Road Stop.
- 7:55am | Maunu Road, Maunu Tennis Club.
- 8:00am | Cemetery Road Bus shelter just past junction.
- 8:00am | Barge Park – Public bus stop. Kowhai Park Road – Public bus stop. Tui Crescent – Public bus stop.
- 8:05am | Opposite Hospital. Opposite Te Mai Road. Opposite Liquor King. Outside Pet Shop Maunu Road.
- 8:20am | Whangārei Primary School Opposite Anglican Church. Kamo Road, Kensington Opposite Moody Ave, Whau Valley SH1. Puna Rere Drive. Spedding Road. Ngunguru Road.
- 8:35am | Arrive Huanui College.
Hikurangi Run
Providing a 36 Seater bus
- *7:20am | George Street, Hikurangi Bus Stop at 61 George Street. King Street, Hikurangi Jordan Valley Road (viaSH1).
- 7:35am | Intersection of Jordan Valley Road and Apotu Road.
- 7:40am | Kaurihohore Hall, Apotu Road.
- 7:45am | Intersection of Crane Road and Quail Rise.
- 7:55am | Ngararatunua Marae, 2 Church Road, Ngararatunua.
- 8:05am | Intersection of Church Road and Three Mile Bush Road.
- 8:15am | Station Road.
