School Innovation Programme

From 2018, Huanui College teaching and administrative staff, board members, parents, and students joined a programme called “Schools that deliver”. Together they are working towards delivering the shared vision by working in small teams to focus aspects of the school that can be developed to improve student learning.

Developing the future of the College

Three teams have been designing, testing, and trialling innovations. These teams have developed recommendations of what needs to be done in the school to improve student learning.  The teams are developing tools to promote:

• Learner agency (ways to gives students voice, and choice in how they learn)
• Well-being (cultural and personal)
• Student Leadership

These teams will continually refine, develop through research, and test their ideas. These ideas and school recommendations will be actioned in conjunction with a number of other initiatives identified as part of the Shared Vision.
