On Friday Grace Wiegersma, Harrison Syers and Natalya Newman were awarded their Global Citizenship certificates at a graduation ceremony run by Study Northland and Massey University.
These students had completed a four week online program in Global Citizenship alongside students from Northland and India.
In a world where travel and cultural exchange is restricted, this opportunity to make connections and share ideas with international students is invaluable. Students completed modules on ’emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and bridging communication’, facilitated by Massey University lecturers. While this program was completed virtually, the opportunity for Grace, Harrison and Natalya to connect and share their experiences with the other students and facilitators on Friday was fantastic.
They also got to share Indian cultural experiences firsthand and delicious food. Congratulations everyone.
