Dear Parents & Caregivers of our Year 13 students,
We are aware that a number of Year 13 students attended the Soundsplash Music Festival in Hamilton from 21-23 January 2022. The Ministry of Health has now requested that all attendees get a Covid test immediately and stay home until the results are received. With this in mind, we ask that all those students who attended Soundsplash to please produce a negative result prior to returning to school. In the likelihood that a student returns a positive test result, we ask that you please advise the school immediately to ensure contact tracing and cleaning protocol is adhered to.
We understand that getting a negative result prior to camp will be unachievable for some and ask that these students please communicate with our office and Year 7 Camp leader, Ms Sarah Butler, to advise their current position. Our aim is to keep our school community safe and try and keep disruption to school at a minimum.

*UPDATE* All attendees are now advised to get a test immediately, if you haven’t already. Inform the testing centre you were at the festival. If symptoms develop, get a test and stay at home until you get a negative test result.

We look forward to seeing our Year 13’s return to school on Tuesday 1 February for Year 7 & 13 camp. Details have been emailed directly to families from Ms Sarah Butler. More information has been sent to you via our weekly bulletin which was emailed to every family on Friday 28 January.
