Following on from the parent/student/teacher conferences that have occurred throughout the year, we now have the final phase coming up in early December.
The final round is more focused on the individual student’s self-reflection from their vision statements that they worked on earlier in the year and will be conducted with their Whānau Teacher over a longer interview period of 20 minutes.
The conference is aiming to capture academic, pastoral, sporting, cultural, and service for each student and to encourage each student to reflect on what steps they could take to improve upon each of these in 2022. It is imperative that your child attend this interview with you.
On these days, the College will be open for students to attend if needed and they will be situated in supervised self-study rooms but there will be no teacher-led classes. Buses will run as normal. Students are required to wear school uniform when attending school and interviews.
We do understand that this scenario is not going to suit all our families and we encourage you to contact your child’s Whānau Teacher to organise alternative arrangements.
